L&T Valves offers Knife Gate valves with metallic and resilient seats for bidirectional and unidirectional applications. The versatile range is available in wafer, lugged and flanged configurations. L&T Knife Gate Valve provides reliable shut-off for both dry and wet line fluids. The bonnet-less valve is equipped with a heavy-duty gate to cut though sediments – and is ideally suited for abrasive slurries, pulp stock, semi-solids, dry ash, chips, etc. The valves find application in paper and pulp, minerals and metals, steel plants, thermal power plants and chemical/ petrochemical industries.

One of the salient features of the Knife Gate valve is it’s sharp heavy-duty knife edge at the bottom of the gate, which cuts through solid sediments and ensures reliable shut-off.

The replaceable seats in these valves ensure easy maintenance at site and longer service life. Also, their low operating torque facilitates use of smaller-size actuators, hence lower cost implication.

The L&T Knife Gate Valve is designed as per MSS SP 81 standards, and tested according to MSS SP 151 standard. The valves are manually Handwheel operated, as well as suitable for Pneumatic and Electric operation with the help of Actuators, Solenoid valves, Limit switch boxes, Positioners, and other accessories.

These valves are best suited for application in industries like Paper and Pulp, Thermal power, Metals and minerals, Sugar, Chemical, Slurry, Cement and Waste Water industries.
